We are a group of researchers and students working on cutting-edge research in the areas of air-quality, weather, and climate forecasting using numerical modelling and machine learning techniques under supervision of Prof. Yunsoo Choi. We are located in the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Houston. We are always looking for motivated students and postdocs to join our group. If you are interested in joining our group, please contact Prof. Yunsoo Choi.
Yunsoo Choi is a professor of atmospheric science at the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences in University of Houston. 20+ years of experience in air-quality, weather, and climate modelling, machine learning. 100+ peer-reviewed publications. His academic expertise involves supervising graduate students and postdocs, teaching, proposal writing, project management, scientific leadership, collaboration, networking, mentoring, and advising.
Our research aims to improve the accuracy of air-quality, weather, and climate forecasts using numerical modelling and machine learning techniques. We are also interested in developing new machine learning techniques to improve the accuracy of numerical models. We also utilize air-quality and weather forecasts to understand the impact of air pollution on human health and the environment.
