DISCUSSION

Today's weather is similar to yesterday. NWS forecast has slighlty more cloud and stronger wind though. Rain
chances are similar, though it may be more scattered than Sunday. Ozone at Galveston is around 20 ppb. So
today's ozone is likely similar to yesterday. High in the 40s-50s, and max still locates around
Conroe/Kingwood.

Yesterday's cloud and rain are more than expected, and overall regional ozone is quite low. The high in C617
(Baytown) is surprising because the 2 neighboring sites did not have the sudden jump in ozone at 12 CST. All
other sites had peak ozone less than 40 ppb. So the 51 ppb at C617 may be due to emission upset.

NWS forecasts that a dry spell may be coming late Tues. Due to the clean background, regional ozone should
remain low in Tues and Wed.
